Perhaps I do not make as strong an impression as I should. I am Estienneux, former aide to Lord Melvien.

With Lord Melvien's terrible incident in the hinterlands, I have been inundated with work for the Ministry of Finance. I can scant catch a breath owing to the avalanche of paperwork they have me buried under. Furthermore, we are still unable to come up with the funds for the cathedral that was destroyed...

As if the ministry wasn't frazzled enough already, I have been forced to deal with the economic repercussions of the mysterious sleeping illness on the nation's economy.

It cannot be easy on the pioneers either. My fervent wish is that the entire debacle be brought to an end at the earliest possible moment.

What am I here? I was poring through some of Melvien's personal effects, and his butler mentioned that he had come across Melvien's journal in his room.

Given the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, I felt it could be an item of vital importance. Having read through it, I am convinced of its authenticity, as it speaks to his undying passion for colonization. What better donation could be made to this storied house of knowledge?

I just met with some passionate reporters from the Adoulin Examiner who were quite keen to read it. I always find their articles to be most captivating. Their unforeseeable suspension of publication has caused quite the quagmire. If you wish to speak with them, I believe they are still at the library.

The next version update is scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2015 (JST).

Sink your teeth into the lore of Adoulin with quests featuring unexplored aspects of the main scenario, the addition of more Unity Wanted battles, and puppetmaster adjustments.

Also scheduled is the long-awaited ability to equip two linkpearls at once, along with other content that had been pushed back from December.

Campaign period: Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 7:00 a.m. (PST) to Friday, January 2, 2015, at 6:00 a.m.

Receive login points each day just for saying hello to the citizens of Vana'diel, and exchange them for various in-game rewards!

If you are logged in when the campaign begins, you must either relog or change areas in order to receive your points.
